THE HEART ASSOCIATION
2021
Every year, the Heart Association and the Children’s Heart Foundation award research grants to promising projects in the field of heart disease research.
The Remmen Foundation has since 2014 supported this event, for example by making the Palmehaven at the Hotel d’Angleterre available for the award ceremony.
This year, the grants were awarded to PhD student Flemming Javier Olsen from Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, Professor Henning Bundgaard from Rigshospitalet and Assistant Professor Peter Agger from Aarhus University Hospital.
The patron of the Heart Association, Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess, presented the research grants. In her speech, she pointed out that since the beginning of 1962, the Heart Association has donated over DKK 600 millions to heart research in Denmark.
“Today, we have the opportunity to pay tribute and say a big thank you to some of the researchers whose work helps save Danish lives every day.”
