THE REMMEN FOUNDATION ART PRIZE
2017
The Remmen Foundation Art Prize 2017 was on October 9, 2017 awarded to the young artist Fredrik Tydén during an event at Hotel d’Angleterre, where he received an award of DKK 100.000.
Fredrik Tydén is educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he graduated in 2015. Frederik Tydén was nominated together with four other young Danish artists: Amitai Romm, Julie Lænkholm, Martha Hviid and Jesper Skov Madsen.
The Remmen Foundation would like to congratulate not only Fredrik Tydén but the other nominated artists as well.
The Remmen Foundation Art Prize was established in 2015 on the occasion of the 260 years anniversary of the hotel, and was first awarded to Morten Knudsen.
The Prize Committee in 2017 consisted of Mette Remmen Kristiansen, Arne Wulff, Jens-Peter Brask, Bjørn Nørgaard og Barbar Husted Werner. The committee nominates the candidates and chooses the winner of the year. (For information, it is not possible to apply for the Remmen Foundation Art Prize).
