itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The cooperation with The Danish Brain Injury Association started in 2005 in connection with Hotel d&#8217;Angleterre&#8217;s 250 years anniversary. At this event the patron of The Danish Brain Injury Association, the Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary, received DKK 2 millions from the Remmen Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The donation was part of a campaign to create attention for The Danish Brain Injury Association \u2013 focusing on their mission: LIV DER REDDES \u2013 SKAL OGS\u00c5 LEVES. (Lives saved &#8211; are to be lived)<\/p>\n<p>During 2008, DKK 1 million was donated , of which 500,000 was dedicated to HovedHuset situated in Frederiksberg.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009 the Remmen Foundation handed over a total of DKK 8 millions to The Danish Brain Injury Association at a special event at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>DKK 5 millions was earmarked for training of specialists in the treatment method trombektomi, which means that patients, who suffer a stroke, in the future have a much better chance of survival with this new treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Today 2-3 Danes die every week or experience a severe brain damage after a stroke, because hospitals are unable to perform emergency treatment with so-called trombektomi. According to The Danish Brain Injury Association 100-200 Danes are annually affected.<\/p>\n<p>The other DKK 3 millions was donated as a safety net for The Brain Injury Association&#8217;s rehabilitation project HovedHuset in Fredriksberg.<\/p>\n<p>It is the vision of the Remmen Foundation to help ensuring patients, who suffer a stroke, an optimal treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br
