THE REMMEN FOUNDATION ART PRIZE

2019

In connection with the opening of Art Week Copenhagen 24.5.2019, the Remmen Foundation’s Art Prize was awarded for the fifth consecutive year.

The art prize of DKK 100,000 was awarded to the artists Kirsten Astrup and Maria Bordorff, who received the award during a ceremony at Hotel d’Angleterre for their joint artistic work.

The art prize has since 2015 been awarded annually to a young and promising artist – nominated and selected by the Foundation’s Art Committee.

This year’s jury consisted of Søren Sejr, Claus Carstensen, Bjørn Nørgaard, Sanne Kofod Olsen, Barbara Werner, Mette Remmen and Arne Wulff.

Remmen Fonden would like to congratulate Kirsten Astrup and Maria Bordorff with the Art Prize.

THE REMMEN FOUNDATION

The Remmen Foundation (Remmen’s Stiftung von 1986) was founded by Henning Remmen in 1986. Originally, the purpose of the Foundation was to operate a variety of commercial activities centered around hotels.
